The Olympic Games are a global triumph of sport achievements, a symbol of overcoming oneself, of fortitude and will power. Participation in the Olympics gives sportsmen from different countries an opportunity to show their best qualities, reveal their potentials, overcome oneself, gain recognition of personal achievements on the way to the general sport perfection. Every time Olympics are a grand event for a receiving country. On July 4, 2007 Russia gained the right to hold the XXII Winter Olympic Games and the XI Winter Paralympic Games of 2014 and this event is hard to be overestimated. Russia’s victory is aimed to breathe a new life into the development of professional sports, give a boost to the youth sports movement, reveal new talents and abilities of the sportsmen and fans. The Olympic Games 2014 will help millions of fans from all over the world to see Russia in a new light, to discover its traditions, its vast potential and amazing culture. The Olympics in Sochi will not only give a huge impetus to the development of the city itself but also of the whole Krasnodar territory: its infrastructure and economics. The Olympic Games will contribute tremendously o the Russian Federation’s economic development, enhance its position in the international arena, help to unite people by the common goal: to surpass at the level of preparation and the level of holding the Games not only the predecessors but also ourselves. September 18, 2010 was a significant date for Ingosstrakh. That day the Director General of Ingosstrakh, Alexander Grigoriev, and the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee President, Dmitry Chernyshenko, signed agreements for the company to be a Partner of the XXII Winter Olympic Games and the XI Winter Paralympic Games of 2014 in Sochi. Ingosstrakh is also a partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Committees of Russia (until the end of 2016) and a partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Russian teams (regarding each team of the Olympics of 2012, 2014 and 2016) in the Insurance sphere. Commenting the contracts, Aleksander Grigoriev, the Director General of Ingosstrakh, said: "It is an honor and a great responsibility for us to become a partner of the XXII Winter Olympic Games and the XI Winter Paralympic Games of 2014 in Sochi. Ingosstrakh was the general insurer of the XXII Summer Olympic Games of 1980 in Moscow. 30 years later the company will become the Partner of the First Winter Olympics that will take place in our country. We are proud of this distinguished position. We have a many years’ experience of cooperation with organizers of various major sport competitions and insurance coverage provision for all the spheres related to preparation and holding of mass sport events.” Dmitry Chernyshenko, the Organizing Committee President, said: “Ingosstrakh is a recognized leader with more than a half a century’s experience in the sphere of insurance.
