The carriage of passengers by road or railway is a challenging type of business connected with the risk of bodily injury to the passengers or damage to their property (luggage). Ingosstrakh has a considerable experience in this field of insurance and offers a program which protects the interests of the Insured and covers his liability for physical loss of or damage to property or death, bodily injury or illness (including hospital, medical and funeral expenses) of passengers.
Insurance object:
insured’s responsibility which he incurs in providing transport services and liability for physical loss of or damage to passenger’s property (luggage) or death, bodily injury or illness of the passengers.
Risks covered:
liability for bodily injury to the passengers (mutilation, injury, disablement or death);
liability for losses resulting from a total or partial loss or deterioration as well as deprivation of passenger’s hand luggage;
costs incurred by the Insured after any accident that gives rise to, or may give rise to, a claim under the insurance, in investigating the accident and protecting his interests in relation to it, for example, the fees of a lawyer, surveyor or expert; in avoiding or minimizing a claim.
The cost of insurance is determined individually for each client and depends on the following factors:
the sphere of activity of the company;
estimated volume of passenger carriages during the insured period;
type of transport vehicle;
territory, direction or route of passenger carriages;
measures and technical devices reduced the degree of risk.
Reimbursement of claims
Within the insurance limit Ingosstrakh reimburses passenger transport operator for actual damage caused to life or health of the passengers and also protects the Insured’s interests against the claims of the injured party.
