Taking into account all risks which terminal operators may face providing their services, Ingosstrakh has developed insurance programs for such operators as: ports, stevedores, holding warehouses and customs warehouses.
Our policy is indispensable for:
companies located on the territory of seaports and river ports;
sea pilot and coastal service companies;
stevedores;
railway stations and repair depots;
terminals, holding warehouse owners and customs warehouse owners;
any other companies providing such services and located on the territory of railway infrastructure of general and non-general use, bus terminals, stations, seaports, river ports, airports and international airfields.
Insurance object:
Insured’s responsibility which he incurs in providing services of handling the transport process and liability for physical loss of or damage to third party property or death, bodily injury or illness of any third party, including liability for payment of customs duties and taxes which are imposed by customs authorities on a transport terminal operator.
Risks covered:
liability for physical loss of or damage to cargo;
liability for total loss of and/or damage to third party property including vessels, railcars, other vehicles, hydraulic facilities, leased cargo operating equipment or other third party property;
liability for damage to health, life or death of any third party resulting form an accident on the territory of insured transport terminal;
liability for any financial loss incurred by the Insured’s client resulting from the failing of the transport terminal operator, its employees or agents, partially or totally, to perform contractual obligations;
customs risks - the risks arising from a breach of import or export regulations including liability for payment of customs duties and taxes which are imposed by customs authorities on a transport terminal operator and which would not have been payable but for a breach of import or export regulations.
Together with the customs risks insurance, Ingosstrakh provides a transport terminal operator with a special banking-insurance product which helps to obtain a bank guarantee required by the customs authorities for inclusion in the Register of Owners of Temporary Storage Facilities and Customs Warehouses and as a security for payment of customs duties and taxes.

average agency (inspections and survey services);
salvage and search of the cargo;
protection of the Insured’s interests in the state authorities and courts in Russia and abroad;
support services including the checking of the claimed amount of customs duties and taxes and protecting the Insured’s interests in the customs authorities and in the court;
assistance in selection of subcontractors (freight forwarders or carriers, including the checking of transport companies upon the request of the Insured), examination of the current contracts of carriage.
We guarantee fully confidentiality in respect of any information provided us by our clients as well as keeping their interests in claims handling.
Cost of insurance:
insurance premium is calculated individually for each client;
cost of insurance depends on risks insured and limits of liability and volumes of the Insured’s activities.
