For operator of resources deposits and drilling contractors, Ingosstrakh offers insurance against risks related to drilling operations and to the use and operation of various wells.
Insurable objects:
Oil wells;
Gas wells
Geothermal wells
Water and other wells
Ingosstrakh accepts for insurance the wells:
underway drilling, sinking, maintenance, repair, recovery or preparation for extraction – from the start till the end of such operations;
used for extraction of oil, gas and other liquid or gaseous mineral substances and subsoil resources;
which for any reason are temporarily not used for extraction of oil, gas or other subsoil resources;
where the extraction of oil, gas or other resources is terminated due to depletion of oil and/or gas-bearing beds.
Ingosstrakh indemnifies the following damages of the Insurant:
cost of repair or attempts to restore control of the wells which fell outside control earlier;
cost of extinguishing or the attempt to extinguish a fire;
cost of repeated drilling or reworking of an insured well or any its site if the damage or demolition has resulted from the well’s getting out of control.
In addition, Ingosstrakh may indemnify the damages incurred through:
damage of drilling and/or repair equipment or rigs by an overland explosion or an explosion above the sea bed, thunderbolt, collision with overland, marine or air transports, storm or a hurricane, flood, collapse of an oil-rig, derrick or a crane, earthquake, volcanic action or a tsunami;
restoration or an attempt to restore control of a sudden and unexpected subterranean stream of oil, gas, water or other liquid moving from the bore hole of one underground tank to another;
damages caused to drilling or any other equipment used in insured wells and leased, rented or hired by the Insurant or made available to the Insurance by the Customer or any other party.
