Liability insurance of business centres leaseholders


When you buy or lease an office you become fully liable for its safety. You are also interested to know how you can protect your own property located in the office. Companies that use offices need to have an efficient tool to mitigate the negative effect of unforeseen events. Today, insurance is the tool that arms owners and management of companies with certainty that any risk can be minimized and any damage or loss compensated. Property insurance

Insurable objects are objects of property owned, loaned or controlled under contracts of lease and other contracts:

  • Structural elements of buildings
  • Interior furnishing of offices
  • External and internal glassing (including window glassing, glass partitions, stained-glass windows, mirrors)
  • Electronic equipment (including office computers and periphery, telephone switchboards, communication equipment, cash registers etc)
  • Furniture, tools, instruments
  • Cash in safe
  • Data carriers (PC and similar), i.e. magnetic tapes and cassettes, magnetic disks, memory banks etc
  • External objects (advertising installations and signs, etc).
  • You can also insure your company from losses resulting from the necessity to clear the territory, dispose of the garbage, tear down constructions and/or damaged property after an insured accident.

Insurable risks:

Property is construed as insured against damage and/or destruction as the result of unexpected or sudden exposure to any of or a combination of the events listed below:

  • Fire, thunderbolt, gas explosion
  • Explosion of engineering equipment
  • property damage by water from water supply, sewerage,
  • heating and automatic fire-suppression systems
  • natural disasters
  • theft with unauthorized access, robbery
  • intended malicious action of a third party, including:
    • negligent destruction or damage or property (Art. 167 of RF Criminal Code)
    • hooliganism (Art. 213 of RF Criminal Code)
    • vandalism (Art. 214 of RF Criminal Code)
  • Collision with a road vehicle
  • Fall of a piloted aircraft and/or its pieces
  • Breaking of window glass, mirrors, shop windows
  • Damage of property in an act of terrorism

Unconditional franchise:

A sum that is in any case deductible from the amount of the insurance indemnity.A portion of damages that is not covered by the insurance (the Insurant covers the damages on its own). The damages within the amount of the franchise are not indemnifiable.

Terms of insurance:

The cost of insurance may differ from the base tariff and depends on the construction materials and type of constructions and buildings, availability of fire safety systems and general property protection systems, size of the franchise and other factors.

Third Party Liability Insurance

The risk of potential damage to the property and/or health of a third party is always inherent to any business of any company. This type of insurance assigns to Ingosstrakh all costs related to the Company’s liability to third parties, including visitors.

Insurable objects:

Insurant’s property interests related to the liability to restitute the damages caused to the property, life or health of a third party, including Visitors, by virtue of applicable civil legislation.

Insured event:

An event that is directly connected with the Insurant’s business, such business being legal by law, and which is the basis, by virtue of applicable civil legislation, for lodging of claims by third parties, including Visitors, against the Insurant for the restitution of physical and/or property damages caused by the Insurant.
