Road-Traffic Accident

Type of insurance: Motor Insurance, MOTPL, Voluntary Third Party Liability Insurance, accident insurance.

1. Dial 02 to call the road police to the place of the accident (for MTC subscribers –112, for Bee-line subscribers  – 911), via the Rescue service – (+7 495) 937-99-11 or tel. (+7 495) 624-31-17 via the on-call Moscow traffic police and remain at the place of the road-traffic accident till their arrival.

2. If you have a civil liability insurance inform the other participant of the road-traffic accident of your civil liability insurance with Ingosstrakh, your insurance policy number and telephone number of Ingosstrakh (+7 495) 956-55-55. Avoid conversations about the participants’ guilt and by no means assume any responsibility for the damage caused before the arrival of the road police.  

3. Before the arrival of the road police fill in the form of the Information on the accident together with other participants of the road-traffic accident in line with the recommendations listed in this form. The form is issued when concluding a MOTPL agreement.  

4. Do not make any references to the amount or time of indemnity installments to any third party until all necessary documents are finally issued. The settlement of such issues within the scope stipulated in the limits policy is undertaken by Ingosstrakh.

5. Recommended procedure:

• Receive a report from the state traffic officer (a copy of the report), issued on the person responsible for the motoring offence, and certificate No 12 with the list of vehicle parts damaged as a result of the road-traffic accident.
• Fill in the Information of the accident in one of Ingosstrakh offices or remote settlement offices located at:  Addresses of remote settlement offices (XLS, 78 Kb), as well as service stations of official motor dealers (for information contact: (+7 495) 956-55-55).

6. If you have only a MOTPL insurance with Ingosstrakh the accident shall be reported within 15 calendar days as of the accident by submitting your part of the Information on the accident and a copy of the accident report to the Motor Insurance office of Ingosstrakh.

7. The damaged vehicle shall be presented to Ingosstrakh for examination. For assistance in the vehicle evacuation dial (+7 495) 956-55-55 to call the contact-center of the Motor insurance office of Ingosstrakh. If the accident took place outside the Moscow region, the damaged vehicle can be presented to one of our regional offices.

8. If you and your passengers are insured under the Ingosstrakh accident insurance program, and either you or your passenger(s) were injured in the road-traffic accident, you should apply to the Internal Affairs authorities for the Resolution on the commencement or refusal to commence the criminal case proceedings. In a difficult situation it is recommended to contact Ingosstrakh representatives as you may need additional documents.
