Voluntary Medical Insurance

An insured event under a VHI contract is is a referral of the Insured person at any time during the term of the contract to any medical facility provided under the VHI contract or to any medical facility (if such referral is agreed with the Insurer) for medical assistance or services covered by the VHI (‘The Program’) in any of the following cases subject to their inclusion in the Program:

  • Acute illness (condition);
  • Chronic disease or acute condition;
  • Injury (including burns, frostbites);
  • Poisoning.

Dear client of Ingosstrakh!

Please make sure NOT TO:

  • Make any out-of-pocket payments for the services rendered by any medical facility prior to consulting your coordinator. Your insurance program may cover these services. Pose your question to your medical coordinator with the Health Insurance Department of Ingosstrakh or the dispatching service of OOO TIM Assistance. If you pay for a service that is covered by your insurance program, the medical facility is entitled not to compensate the payment you have made.
  • Pass the VHI policy to another person to obtain medical services. In this case the Insurer may revoke the insurance and make no premium compensation.
  • Please ensure timely notification of the insurer of any change in your residence address because home care is available only at the address provided by the insurant for the purposes of the insurance policy.


What you should do:

If you experience any problem of a medical character (pain, general discomfort etc).

If your attending doctor recommends a health survey at a specialized medical facility.

In the event of acute health aggravation, accident or injury.

In the event of an acute health aggravation, injury, accident or other you need URGENT hospitalization.

If you are traveling in Russia and suddenly feel bad, get in an accident or receive in injury etc.

In the event of a PLANNED surgery recommended by your attending doctor.

If you have questions of a medical nature (e.g. you want to know what services or what scope of services your policy covers).

If you lose your policy, pass or slip.
