To become eligible to an indemnification, you need to notify Ingosstrakh of the occurrence of the insured event within seven days after the occurrence.
The date of occurrence of the insured event is:
The first date of the planned trip (if the trip is canceled);
Date of return to the country of residence (in the event of early or delayed return).
The Insured person should submit to Ingosstrakh his/her claim to contain a description of the event, the insurance policy and documents to confirm respective expenses incurred.
If the trip has been arranged through a travel agent, the following documents to be enclosed:
The original copy of the Agreement for Travel Services and documents to confirm the payment;
Documents evidencing the compensation of part of the amount under the agreement by the travel agent to the Insured person (to be enclosed the calculation of the repayment and the cash voucher);
The original copy of a reference from the travel agent issued on the agent’s letterhead, stamped and signed by the senior executive, such reference to confirm the costs incurred by the Insured person in relation to the payment of penalties charged against the cancellation of the trip under the Agreement for Travel Services;
Documents provided by the carrier, consulate, hotel and other organizations whose services the Insured person used to organize the travel abroad. Such documents to contain confirmation of losses incurred through cancellation of travel documents, hotel reservation etc;
Documents and information necessary to determine the nature of the event, namely:
If the trip is cancelled in view of the illness, injury or death of the Insured person or his/her close relatives – a reference from a respective medical establishment, a notarized copy of the death certificate and documents to confirm the degree of relationship of the Insured person and the close relative;
If the trip is cancelled as the result of damage or loss of property owned by the Insured person – militia records and related documents, written references from respective organizations to confirm the damage to property or its loss;
If the trip could not be made because of a court hearing – a summon endorsed by court;
If the trip could not be made in view of an urgent induction or reserve duty trailing exercise – a duly endorsed call;
In the event of visa denial – the official visa denial issued by the consulate (if applicable) or the original of the foreign passport.
If the trip has been self-arranged:
Documents of the carrier, consulate, hotel and other organizations whose services the Insured person engaged to organize the travel abroad, such documents to confirm the losses incurred as the result of cancellation of tickets, hotel reservation etc;
Documents and information necessary to determine the character of the event, namely:
If the trip is cancelled in view of the illness, injury or death of the Insured person or his/her close relatives – a reference from a respective medical establishment, a notarized copy of the death certificate and documents to confirm the degree of relationship of the Insured person and the close relative;
If the trip is cancelled as the result of damage or loss of property owned by the Insured person – militia records and related documents, written references from respective organizations to confirm the damage to property or its loss;
