Indemnification under luggage insurance

    In the event of loss or damage of luggage during travel the Insured person should refer to representatives of administrative personnel of the hotel, carrier, local law enforcement authorities to obtain a document to confirm the loss or damage of the luggage, i.e. a luggage claim issued by the carrier.

    If you fail to obtain a duly issued document from the foregoing authorities, you should be able to present a relevant formal written letter of denial from them.

    To receive your indemnification, please make sure to submit to Ingosstrakh:

    • your claim with a description of the insured event;
    • your insurance policy;
    • a list of lost or damaged items;

    Please NOTE:

    The claim and documents for indemnification purposes need to be submitted to Ingosstrakh within 30 calendar days from the date of your return from the trip where the insured event occurred.

    The documents drawn up in Russian, English, French or German do not have to enclose a translation. In cae of other languages, please make sure to enclose a translation.
