Indemnification of medical costs

Dear client of Ingosstrakh!

If you get in an accident that you are insured against or should you need medical assistance, make sure NOT TO:

  • panic,
  • refer to a doctor or a medical facility without prior approval by the Insurer,
  • pay for the medical services out of pocket

Order of obtaining and payment for medical services:

  1. When you have reached our Service Center or used the hotline, please inform the operator of your needs and provide the following information: name, surname, contact phone number; number of your insurance policy, covered period and geography, your current location (hospital, hotel, attending doctor’s office); diagnosis, describe what has happened.
  2. If you have someone call on your behalf, ask your representative to provide his/her name, surname, phone number and location.

Please NOTE:

  • Don’t forget to dial 0 or 9 (or other digits recommended by the hotel) when calling from the hotels to the numbers provided for accessing the city telephone line, and the code necessary to make an international call, if necessary.
  • You can make a call to 8-800 number from a fixed phone only.
  • For Turkey, Bulgaria and Egypt we compensate only the costs that have been preliminarily agreed with our Service Centers.

To receive your indemnification, please make sure to submit to Ingosstrakh the following documents:

  • Original copy of the invoice issued by the medical facility (on a letterhead or with a stamp). The invoice to contain the name of the patient, date of referral for medical assistance, duration of treatment, diagnosis and the list of services with a breakdown by dates and costs and the total amount payable;
  • Original copies of prescriptions written by the doctor and stamped by the pharmacy with a detailed list and price quotations per item;
  • Original copy of a referral to treatment issued by the doctor, appointments to tests and an invoice from the laboratory with a breakdown by date, type and cost of service;
  • Documents to confirm the payment for the treatment, medication and other services (the documents to be stamped, or there should be a bank transfer confirmation or a cash voucher)
  • A paid bill for the telephone call placed to the service center, the bill to contain the date, caller ID and the duration of the call.

Please NOTE:

The claim and documents for indemnification purposes need to be submitted to Ingosstrakh within 30 calendar days from the date of your return from the trip where the insured event occurred.

The documents drawn up in Russian, English, French or German do not have to enclose a translation. In cae of other languages, please make sure to enclose a translation.
