Ingosstrakh continues to be an active promoter of small vessel insurance, i.e. motor boats and yachts. We undertake for insurance the motor boats and yachts used in any waters of the world. We offer comprehensive hull and civil liability insurance protection of vessel owners. The insurance protection covers the whole period of operation, including storage in ground docks and haulage. Moreover, a yacht can be insured for the period of construction.
Hull insurance risks:
Total loss of an insured object (both actual and constructive damage, where the cost of repair exceeds the value of the object) and damage of hull, mechanisms, equipment as may happen during the period of operation and/or storage of the vessel as the result of:
Act of god, explosion, fire, tipping over, grounding, collision with another vessel or an object (whether floating or stationary);
Damage of mechanisms or equipment;
Theft of the vessel or its part(s);
Loading/unloading of the vessel, launch of an insured vessel on water, lifting of an insured vessel.
Liability insurance:
Owner’s liability to third parties for damages caused by the insured vessel as the result of collision with or berthing impact on a floating or stationary object;
Damages caused by the vessel to life and/or health of a third person, and relevant environmental damages.
Additional insurance coverage is provided for the following risks:
Haulage of an insured vessel;
War risks, risk of civil conflicts and their consequences;
Participation in races and regattas.
Cost of insurance:
Determined for each object individually on the basis of respective operating conditions;
Depends on the value, age and type of vessel, region of operation, scope of coverage.

After careful consideration of the information you have submitted, our experts will determine the scope of coverage, the applicable insurance premium rate, franchise, order of payment and other terms and conditions subject to further approval with you.
Please make sure to submit a photocopy of registration and classification documents on the vessel (vessel certificate by the State Small Size Vessel Inspection, certificate of registry issued by the River or Marine Registers, or other documents as may apply), and copies of the Insurable Party's navigation permit.
In some cases Ingosstrakh may request photographs of the vessel as a confirmation of its sound condition.
Ingosstrakh may appoint a surveyor to examine large and/or luxury vessels
